This is a visual effect that occurs live in performance.

The images and videos shown here were not generated by a software program. They were not altered, or morphed, or combined with any other images or videos. The models were not painted, or tattooed, or draped with any fabric. Occasionally sunglasses are worn to protect against the bright projector light. The backdrop is always plainly colored, usually either all black or all white.

"Bathed in Light" exists as a collection of media elements that are related in content but which differ in mode of presentation.

The lines are caused by interference patterns generated by a bug in the projector. That's my best guess anyway, since changing the camera doesn't alter the effect. The lines are almost always fluid, and sometimes they interact with each other. They split apart and recombine with others in ways that make them seem alive. When projected onto the human form, the lines acquire the form of their host.

experiments in projected video feedback

Projected video feedback occurs when a live video camera is connected to a video projector. When the camera is aimed at the projection surface in a particular way, a wide variety of colors and patterns are generated based on variations in the texture, color tone, reflectivity and shape of the surface being projected upon.
